Abstract

Granulation of powdered materials by addition of vinyl resins. Comprises wetting the material in solution or emulsion of a vinyl resin until a paste is formed and then dyring the paste. Suitable materials are potassium slag, Thomas slag, natural or synthetic phosphate minerals and potassium-phosphorus materials. Polyvinyl acetate is suitable as the vinyl resin. The concentration of the solution or emulsion of the vinyl resin may be 0.1-10%. The drying is carried out in a current of hot air.
