Abstract

Device is used to measure the output temp of the coolant from a high temperature nuclear reactor with a core made up of vertical columns of fuel elements. On the upper surface of the reactor core is a metal grille, with hexagonal apertures arranged to line up with the fuel elements. Each aperture contains at least one thermocouple for temp. measurement. The grille has a central section and an independent outer section around its periphery.
