Abstract

Suspension polymerisation of mono- and polyvinyl compounds is carried out using a material allowing the monomers to dissolve but the polymers to neither dissolve nor expand, e.g. aliphatic hydrocarbon mixtures. This improves the exchange properties, especially ionic capacity and exchange rates of resins produced.
