Abstract

Foam plastic profiles having a semi-elliptical external profile and a 'key-hole' section channel to provide a snap fit over the pipe to be insulated. Pairs of profiles may butt together to enclose twin parallel pipe runs. Alternatively the channel mouth may be sealed against a (common) flat panel of similar foam. Pref. polyester foams or opt. polystyrene are used. Easy to install close to walls or floors compared with wrap-round tapes or clips.
