Abstract

Herbicidal mixtures of Alachlore and Propuron. Mixtures containing 1 part Alachlore (I) and 0.2-5 parts Propuron (II) are active as pre-emergence selective herbicides, esp. useful in crops of maize and cotton. In an example, a 1 : 1 mixture of (I) and (II) applied at 2 kg./ha. to plots sown with maize, cotton, and various weeds, gave almost complete kill of the weeds whilst leaving the crops undamaged.
