Abstract

Process comprises (a) the formation of a blank sheet of very light fluffy material (formed from the commercial product 'Fibre-fill' (RTM) consisting of a mat of randomly laid synthetic fibres, the loose assembly of which is maintained by a binder) with at least one bevelled edge section, (b) the application of a binder to the bevelled surface, (c) the twisting of the blank to form a cone and the adhesion of the bevelled surface to another part of the blank to obtain a cone blank, and (d) the moulding of the conical blank to form a padding with no visible seam or line of perforations.
