Abstract
Insulated conductors are placed parallel in the same plane, and are fed between a pair of calender rollers which has grooves. The groove profile embraces the insulated conductors. Between each roller and the insulated conductors is fed a sheet of heat-weldable plastics so that, under pressure, the cables and sheets form a monoblock cable. Pref. the conductors are assembled with PTFE sheet. The cable is salt-bathed to sinter the plastics strips and give a sealed coherent assembly.
