Abstract

New medicaments useful as peripheral coronary-and vaso-dilators comprise prepns. of Poterium spinosium (of the family Rosaceae). They may be obtained by solvent extraction of Poterium spinosum by decoction, lixiviation, infusion or maceration of the finely ground drug, opt. pre-treated with organic solvents. Compns. contg. of prepns. are suitable for oral, rectal or parenteral administration. Such compns may also contain other medicaments such as sedatives, tranquilisers, fibrinolytics etc.
