Abstract

A liquid flows through a container open to atmospheric pressure which has an overflow pipe to maintain a constant level below which is the end of a feed pipe for a solvent or thinning medium. A vertical tubular measuring chamber with a drain pipe at the bottom is contained in the outer tank and has an opening in its wall near the floor of the tank. This has a float which is used to provide the input signal to a servo control for regulating the flow of the solvent or thinners in proportion to the liquid level in the inner tube.
