Abstract

Compositions setting at low temperature ( 95 degrees C) and having improved adhesion properties comprise dispersions containing polyvinyl halide resin (pref. a PVC. opt. containing 12% vinyl acetate units) and an external plasticiser, pref. a polyester. Resin : polyester = 1 : 1 - 5. The dispersion is deposited to form a film 0.012 - 0.12 mm. thick when dry, below 95 degrees C, then heated to 38 - 175 degrees C. to remove the solvent of the resin. Dispersion opt. contains a diluent, pref. b.pt. 135 degrees C, esp. xylene or toluene.
