Abstract

Recovery of iron from hydrochloric acid etching baths Process comprises passing spent etching soln. and a lime slurry to a reactor both at a temp between 82 degrees C and the b.pt. of the liquids in quantities to maintain a pH of 8-10 in the reactor, and mixing these for at least 5 hrs. by bubbling air through them so forming Fe2O3 which is subsequently separated from the residual liquid phase.
