Abstract

Powder coating is applied in an electrostatic copying machine by submitting the layer to flash radiation selecting duration and intensity of the flash in such a way that the powder is applied to the substrate. Specifically, a high energy discharge tube is used giving light of a wave length of 0.75 to 1.00 micron. The substrate is pref. a metal and the powder pref. consists of a ceramic material.
