Abstract

Aqueous soltns. of dichloropropanols are prepd. by interaction of gaseous allyl chloride with a soltn. of chloride in water at pH3-6, in a continuous vertical reactor. The reactor temp. is 45-70 degrees, and pH is controlled with Ca(OH)2-CO2 soltns.
