Abstract

Electrical system is used with a gauge introduced into a material such as meat whose resistance to this penetration is to be measured. It comprises a transducer linked with the gauge and produces a signal representing the resistance encountered by the gauge when inserted into the material. A device receives the signal and comprises a system which stores a maximum signal. A detection device receives the stored signal and converts it into an output signal representing the penetration resistance.
