Abstract

The gas stream(s) is (are) split into two parts, one of which is the reference untreated stream, and the other is passed through heterogeneous magnetic field (direction of gas stream being perpendicular to the field), causing a pressure-change in the stream. The two streams then pass on to a pressure sensitive receiver. The pressure of each stream will differ by an amount depending on the magnetic susceptibility.
