Abstract

Components are assembled by driving an electrically conducting (1) piece into the two Al components, under force of an explosive charge, which welds it to the Al2 components. More specifically: (1) is a plug driven into a hole in one of the Al (2) components; (2) are made up of a sheath and a cable end, the former fitted over the latter, the sheath is crimped on cable end.
