Abstract

Gas filter has a renewable, annular filter cartridge housed between separable body and cover units; essentially the inside face of the cover's cylindrical wall presses resiliently against the periphery of the cartridge when the filter is assembled, leaving a free space between the end wall of the cover and the outlet of central passage through the cartridge, the passage being of lined with impervious material. The construction is simple and inexpensive and employs a single fastening to secure cartridge, body and cover in gas-tight assembly, without the need for precision production methods.
