Abstract

Pastry-making rolling machine comprises an automatic regulating mechanism for rolling the pastry to the desired thickness, without manual intervention. It is suitable for making flaky pastry necessitating successive and progressive rollings. The machine comprises two superimposed rollers with two conveyor belts on each side. The pastry is placed on one belt and the machine started; the pastry is then rolled and returned to the other belt When the passage has been completed electric devices reverse the direction of rotation; the upper roller is rapidly lowered to a predetermined value and the pastry re-passes through the rollers and is spread on the other conveyor. These operations succeed each other rapidly until the pastry has attained the desired thickness, when the limit switch stops the machine. Certain types of falky pastry, which need to be worked at intervals of several mins., can be rolled by the machine even in the absence of the user.
