Abstract

Anti-vibration pad is laminated from double layers of needled sisal alternating with single layers of cork. The top and bottom of the pad finish each with a double sisal layer. Each cork layer has a pattern of small holes through it. The inner sisal layers are impregnated with a vinyl compound designed to give a tough core. The outer sisal layers are impregnated with a different vinyl compound designed to be formed into a tread pattern on the outside surfaces and to give non-creep characteristics.
