Abstract

Automatic apparatus for continuous production of bread from grain. Comprises (A) a section for wetting and extraction of the grain, (B) a section for separating the bran and kneading the dough (C) a section for dividing and measuring out the dough, and (D) a section for baking the dough. Section A comprises an elongated shaping vessel with a grain supply at the lower end and an outlet at the opposite end, the vessel containing a drenching zone connected to the grain supply and a liquid inlet, and an extracting zone, and organs for transporting the grain from the inlet to the outlet. Section B contains at least one pair of adjacent rollers with adjustable intermediate space, one roller taking up the dough and the other roller taking up the bran, and each roller being equipped with a scraper, while one or more inlets for yeast and brine are present. Section C comprises transport means for supplying baking moulds, and discharging the moulds to the section D, and measuring means for filling the moulds with dough, and stopping the supply of dough when the baking mould has received a definite amount of dough. Section C comprises an oven provided with three in-line openings for the introduction, passage and discharge of baking moulds, and a cage rotatable about a horizontal axis in each section. Tunnels are suspended from the cage rods for receiving the baking moulds, the tunnels of both cages extending into each other, and successively contacting the openings during rotation of the cages, while transport organs, whose operation is coordinated with the rotation of the cages, are provided for passing the baking moulds through the tunnels of the oven parts.
