The invention relates to a lidded drinking glass transport container for storing, transporting, serving and consuming a beverage, which container is returned to the beverage packer for refilling after ingestion and which preferably has means on the outer surface of the container near the top of the container.

Drinks are brought to the restaurants either in large containers or in bottles. From these transport containers, the beverage is poured into a hollow, glass or plastic container. Rationally, for example, pouring beer into a casserole is slow due to frothing. Especially in mass catering, like at trade shows, there is this remarkable dilemma. The same dilemma exists at other self-service food / beverage outlets where the bottle is emptied into a plastic cup whose post-use fate is a landfill.

The object of the invention is to provide a beverage container which acts like a soft drink bottle, from which, however, direct consumption of the beverage is as pleasant as from a conventional drinking glass, whereby the use of a separate drinking glass becomes unnecessary.

This object is solved according to the invention and the container according to the invention is characterized in that the beverage transport container is shaped like a drinking glass and its appearance is chosen so that the shape guides the hand gripping the container to a position in the container so that when the container is lifted by the lips without the cover fastening members.

The invention works in such a way that e.g. beer, or any beverage, is filled into a container according to the invention in a brewery, from where it is transported to a serving place, even to tables in ready-made serving baskets, where the container is opened and drunk. At the same time, empty baskets can be collected in these baskets, in empty baskets. These serving baskets, with their empty glasses, are returned unwashed to the brewery for washing and refilling and returned to circulation.

The drinking glass transport container according to the invention can thus speed up serving and save labor costs.

The shape of the container guides the hand to such a place in the container that it in turn guides the mouth to the desired, comfortable place in the glass.

In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the outer shape of the drinking glass transport container 1 is selected so as to guide the hand gripping the container 1 to a position in the container 1 so that when the container 1 is lifted by hand on the lips for drinking the container 1 without lips 6. The lid fastening members 4 preferably consist of two threaded surfaces 7 arranged in protrusions on opposite sides of the container 1.

The container may have a circle, ellipse, rectangle, portions thereof, or combinations of depressions, or protrusions, in cross-section, without departing from the scope of the invention.
