Abstract

The invention relates to an extension piece 3; 4; 8 for a slideway 1 which is provided with a slide track 6. According to the prior art the ends of the slideways are joined at the corner points or a T-junction by means of mitre joints. Due to the torsion of the tracks the mitre joints become uneven and asymmetrical, with the result that the guide wheels in a balcony window or the like cannot move freely. The manufacture of corner joints, T-junction joints and ordinary extension joints is facilitated by using an extension piece according to the invention. The extension piece has a slide track 6 and the extension piece and the slide track are joined by means of a connecting piece 5 or connecting pieces, which are pressed into a space or spaces in the extension piece and/or the slide track so that the combined slide track forms an even track for the sliding part. <IMAGE>
