Abstract

The invention relates to an apparatus switch for installation in an electrical apparatus or an electrical installation, and consists of a switch unit having a base (1, 2) and line connecting means (22, 22') arranged therein, and of an actuating and contact element mechanism, which can be operated by a rocker key (11) or the like, in order to form an electrically conductive current path between at least two line connecting means (22, 22'), via the said actuating and contact element mechanism. Furthermore, the apparatus switch comprises a mounting frame (3), which can be mounted in a mounting opening and is used as a fastening part for a switch unit which can be arranged therein, the base (1, 2) having an intact base and the line connecting means (22, 22') being provided with connecting openings (4) which are open at the side, so that the completely inserted mounting frame (3) covers at least the connecting openings (4) which are open at the side and forms a closure cover, which covers the mounting opening and can be seen from the outside, for the apparatus switch. <IMAGE>
