Abstract

The invention relates to a nozzle-type coating device for applying a coating compound to a running paper web, having the following features: A nozzle chamber is bounded on the inflow side by an overflow strip and on the outflow side by a metering strip; a distributor pipe is provided with bores, distributed over its length, for releasing coating compounds; downstream of the distributor pipe, a feed channel is provided which feeds the coating compound to the nozzle chamber; a discharge channel is provided which discharges the excess from the nozzle chamber. The invention is characterised by the following features: The distributor pipe has an inflow at one of its two ends and an outflow at the other end; inserts are provided which are inserted into the wall of the distributor pipe and contain the bores. <IMAGE>
