Abstract

The invention relates to a process for determining offset in real time and a device for the angular velocity pick- ups which measure the position of a piece 5. According to the process, the position of the piece 5 is measured by means of three angular velocity pick-ups 1, 2, 3, mounted fixedly on the piece, by integrating the angular velocity information from the angular velocity pick-ups 1, 2, 3. According to the invention, at least one displaceable supplementary pick-up 4 is used, by means of which a series of measurements is conducted in at least four positions, simultaneously with measurements by the fixed pick-ups, whenever the piece moves, and the offset values for the pick-ups 1, 2, 3, 4 are determined by means of a comparison of the simultaneous measurement results from the pick-ups 1, 2, 3, 4. <IMAGE>
