Abstract

Foot prosthesis, characterised by a front foot part, which has a heel part that is joined to the latter in a detachable and replaceable manner. The front foot part and the heel part are made of polymer-impregnated and encapsulated laminate or other reinforced fibres, including such materials as carbon fibres and/or glass fibres or synthetic fibres such as Kevlar. A detachable joint of the heel makes it possible for the heel parts and the front foot parts to be replaced so as to be adapted to the weight, progress, and activity timetable of the person using the foot prosthesis. Accessory ankle elements and wedge elements afford extra adjustability.
