Abstract

The object of the invention is a method for determination of the bark/wood ratio in a pulp sample, for example, in chips or bark pulp coming from a barking plant. The pulp being investigated is ground before the test with a grinder with a cutting blade to below 2 mm, preferably below 1 mm particle size, whereupon the sample is spread as an even layer on a light table where it is photographed with a video camera for image analysis, the mentioned ratio being determined by means of the brightness of the image relative to the calibrated value. <IMAGE>
