Abstract

The method according to the invention is intended for the application of a delignification model using a computer- based method, usually in connection with delignification controlled by a digital automation system, especially delignification of cellulose such as sulphate, sulphite, part delignification, flow delignification or the like, the delignification process being controlled at least initially by means of a computer model, the so-called Hattons Kappa model, having the form: K = A - B x [log(H) x (EA)n], which in the method according to the invention is used in the form: K = A1 + B1 x [log(H) x (AL)n], where the offset parameter (A1), the gradation parameter (B1) and the balancing parameter (n) are factors dependent on the type of wood, the wood quality, the pulp and the delignification kinetics and similar aspects, and where the alkali parameter (AL) describes effective alkali. With the aid of the delignification model described the functional Kappa number (Kt) is resolved by means of the known wood-type measured value of the Kappa number (K), and the H factor (H) and the alkali parameter (AL) by use of the predeterminable reciprocal effective relationship of at least the Kappa number (K), the alkali parameter (AL) and the H factor (H).
