Abstract

The invention concerns a beam source and an alignment method for the same. The beam source contains a number of light devices 2, 21, 22, 23, ..., which are arranged a short distance apart; optical means 3 by means of which the beam generated by the light devices is collected and the beam is broken down into a spectrum; and output opening 4 through which the required part of the beam spectrum is taken from the beam source. The light devices, the optical means and the output opening are arranged in association with the body part. According to the invention the body part 1 has a space 5 through which the beam generated by the light device passes; the optical means 3 have an optical framework 8 on which are arranged the actual optical components 3 for processing the beam; the beam source has a light device support 6 upon which the light devices 2, 21, 22, 23, ... and the output opening 4 are arranged; which optical framework 8 and light device support 6 are arranged in association with the space 5 at a distance from each other in such a way that the light device support 6 and the optical framework 8 are movable in relation to the body part 1 and the space 5 and can be locked in place following the measures for aligning the light source. <IMAGE>
