Abstract

The invention concerns a method and arrangement for measurement of stresses and shape changes in magnetic material. According to the invention the site being measured in material 1 being investigated is magnetized with a constant magnetic field of specified magnitude, an elastic pulse is created in the magnetized region whose produced magnetization change is measured and the measurement result describing the magnetization change is analyzed for measurement of the plastic shape change and dislocation structure of the material being investigated. <IMAGE>
