Abstract

The invention concerns a tubular type resistance which comprises a metallic tubular casing 2, a resistance wire spiral 1 arranged essentially centrally in the casing, a space between the resistance wire spiral 1 and the tubular casing 2 filled with insulation material 3, power supply contacts 4 connected to the ends of the resistance wire spiral 1 and sleeves 5 of insulating material enclosing the ends of the tubular casing 2 through which the power supply contacts 4 are taken. To eliminate the current leakage peak between the power-carrying parts of the tubular type resistance, that is between the resistance wire spiral 1 and the power supply contacts 4 and the earthed tubular casing 2, occurring immediately after connection of the current, according to the invention the power supply contacts 4 are insulated from the insulation material 3 at least at the parts in the vicinity of the ends of the tubular casing 2. <IMAGE>
