Abstract

The subject of the present invention is a glass fibre having improved temperature resistance. It is produced such that the fibre, which has been freed of acid-soluble components to the extent of 1-30 percent by weight, has, apart from a possible colour-lending covering, a permanent, moisture-tight and water-tight, thin, elastic covering and a residual water content of 5-10 percent by weight, expediently 5-7 percent by weight.
