Abstract

Power station with fuel combustion in a fluidised bed 7 in a combustion chamber 8 located in a bed vessel 2. The combustion chamber 8 contains cooling tubes 16 which cool the bed 7 and keep it at a temperature suitable for combustion. The cooling tubes are enclosed in a spiral strip 31, whose pitch is greater than the width b of the strip, so that gaps G are formed between the turns of the spiral. <IMAGE>
