Abstract

The invention concerns installation useable in nuclear power engineering, especially a type of closeable lock for the shielding casing in nuclear reactors. The lock according to the present invention includes a housing 1 with a floor covering 2 and with tightly closeable inner door 3 and outer door 4 and a locking mechanism 5. The tightly closeable lock according to the present invention is characterized by the fact that the floor covering 2 is made from a fixed (stationary) part 6 and a vertically moveable part 7, which is arranged on a support frame 8 by means of lifting rod 9, the moveable part 7 is provided with a lifting mechanism represented by a drawbar 12 connected to the lifting bars 9 with a stop 13 in contact with the inner door 3 and a sensor 20 connected to the locking mechanism 5 of inner door 3. The lock according to the present invention can preferably be used to ensure personnel safety for persons during maintenance in a nuclear power plant. <IMAGE>
