Abstract

A method and arrangement has been created to maintain essentially continuous gas flow through a particulate solid material in two zones during transfer of solid material from a low pressure zone 10 to a high pressure 12 by means of a specific blocking funnel system 11. Maintenance of gas flow with simultaneous transfer of particles between zones is created without using a moving device, like valves. The invention is particularly suitable for regeneration of a catalyst used in hydrocarbon conversion processes, like catalytic reforming. <IMAGE>
