A tool for browsing papers

The present invention relates to an aid for facilitating the browsing of papers.

U.S. Pat. No. 3,191,824 describes a device to be used instead of a thimble, which is glued to the fingertip to protect it e.g. needle stick injuries. This device consists of 10 tapes of some flexible material, on top of which is attached a plate of hard material protecting the finger. However, this is much more complex in structure than the paper browsing aid of the present invention.

In the past, the so-called a rubber pacifier, a piece made of rubber that fits the fingertip. The fingertip is inserted into this rubber pacifier. Bumps are often formed in the surface of the rubber pacifier, allowing it to better adhere to the surface of the paper. Such pacifiers are awkward to use and remain poorly in place if the user has long nails. They are choking and also interfere with other work in addition to browsing papers. Rubber pacifiers may also cause the use of A-25 again allergies.

The present invention has sought to overcome the above disadvantages. This is achieved by a patch-like device according to the invention consisting of at least two layers, the lowest layer being an adhesive layer and the upper layer being a layer formed of a rubber-like substance. The device can be attached to the fingertip by means of an adhesive layer, whereby a surface made of a rubber-like substance can be used to scroll through the papers.

In one embodiment of the invention, there is a layer of fabric between the lowest adhesive layer and the upper rubber layer 35 2 82906. Instead of a fabric, another suitable material can also be used.

Any dense woven fabric can be used as the fabric. The adhesive layer uses some of the usual adhesives commonly used in patches that adhere well to the finger, but are also easy to remove without leaving marks. An antiseptic may also be added to the adhesive to improve hygiene. However, the auxiliaries according to the invention are disposable and therefore very hygienic. Some commercial rubber-like material is used in the top layer of the device. When used as an intermediate layer of a piece of fabric, a so-called milk glue can be used as the rubber-like substance, which, after drying, forms a rubber-like surface on the device 15. The rubber adhesive can be applied as a thin flat surface on the fabric or it can be applied in droplets to obtain a wrinkled surface with particularly good paper grip properties. If a piece of fabric is not used, the rubbery material should be in a uniform thick layer to achieve sufficient durability.

The essential features of the invention are set out in the appended claims. The device is made by coating a large strip of fabric on one side with an adhesive layer 25 and on the other side with a rubber material or by applying an adhesive layer directly on the rubber-like material. Pieces of suitable size and shape, for example hexagons, are cut from this coated strip of fabric or a combination of a layer of air and a layer of rubber, the adhesive surface of which is placed against a waxed board substrate from which they can be easily removed. To simplify and facilitate removal, a release tape or wire may be placed between the paperboard and the adhesive surface, running continuously along the entire length of the paperboard. In this case, the edge of the device can be lifted up by means of a release strip or wire 35 running under the device in order to facilitate gripping it.
