Abstract

A bolt latch 3 for a lock mechanism is operated by a handle from inside the door and via a toothed-segment element 14, a rack element 12 and a cylinder "rower" 11 operated by key from inside and outside the door. The handle mechanism acts on the bolt latch via a handle "rower" 16, a drive gear wheel 17 with shoulders 17b, 17c which engage with the toothed-segment element 14. A separate element 20 fitted with a stop member 20c can be finger-operated by a pin 21 from the post side of the lock. When the element 20 is placed in the stop position and the bolt latch is locked, the handle cannot be operated from the inside. When the door is unlocked by key, the element 20 together with stop member 20c automatically assume the free position. Handle operation of the bolt latch from inside is prevented when there is no-one is at home, but will always be possible when the door has been opened by key. <IMAGE>
