Description

The present invention relates to a carousel in which one or more seats or other types of seats are arranged on a support 5 rotatably arranged about a vertical axis.

There are two types of carousels most commonly used. In the first type, a large circular platform is set to rotate about a vertical axis close to the ground surface. U.S. Patent No. 3,937,463 discloses a very simple combined swing and carousel device. In it, a round support plate is suspended by several ropes from a suitable 20 support. The plate can be both rotated and rocked like a regular rocker. When the plate is made to rotate, its movement continues back and forth as the ropes rotate between each other and again when they unwind. In this case, kinetic energy is constantly converted into static gravity energy and vice versa.

Swedish patent publication 19229 discloses a reciprocating carousel in which kinetic energy is stored in springs which in turn pull the carousel to rotate again.

It is an object of the present invention to provide a novel carousel solution which is simple in construction and easy to install. The characteristic features of the invention are set out in the appended claims.

The embodiment according to claim 2 allows the carousel to be used by children of very different sizes.
