Abstract

The filter comprises a filtering substrate including organic, natural or synthetic fibers, of which at least part are grafted with at least one organic monomer capable of retaining physically and chemically some of the particles to be eliminated which are conveyed by the gas stream. The fibers are grafted by irradiation at room temperature and woven or needled, the fibers comprising advantageously multi grafted fibers or a set of fibers grafted differently. A grafting with fluorinated monomers further improves the qualities of the mechanical filtering of the filter.
