Abstract

A clothes-hanger comprising a middle section 1 and two end sections 5 the latter slidably arranged in a channel in the longitudinal direction of the clothes-hanger and kept apart through the action of a spring. The end sections are provided at their outer ends with garment retaining members 6 and at their inner ends, which are inserted into the channel, with a downwardly directed shoulder. At the ends of the middle section the channel has a height that is equal to or somewhat lower than the total height of the insert end of an end section and the associated shoulder. The shoulder is joined to the end section only by a portion thereof positioned farthest away from the retainer member, whereby a resilient tongue is formed, the latter being arranged upon displacement of the end section outwards against the action of the spring to serve as a stop member by engaging a transverse wall formed at the outer end of the channel. <IMAGE>
