Claims (14)
1, Förfarande för framställn.ing av en för fortsatt reduktion lämpad förreducerad produkt ur finfördelade metalloxidhaltiga material, säsom malmkoncentrat eller oxidiska mellanprodukter, i vilket förfarande det metalloxidhaltiga materialet under fall nedät genom en schaktugn bringas att smälta genom kontakt med genom förbränning alstrade heta gaser, varvid samtidigt kolhaltigt reduktionsmedel tillförs schaktugnen, kännetecknat därav, att nämnda heta gaser bringas att passera uppat genom schaktet och det smälta metalloxidhaltiga materialet i schaktets nedre del under partiell reduktion av detsamma i kontakt med det tillförda reduktions-medlet överföres tili en förreducerad fast produkt, innehällande fast kolmäteriäl.
2. Förfarande enligt patentkravet 1, kännetecknat därav, att ätminstone en del av det metalloxidhaltiga materialet framställes genom rostning av finfördelat metallsulfidhaltigt material, eventuellt i närvaro av vattenänga, i en rostningszon i schaktet, vilken är belägen ovanför den del, väri det metalloxidhaltiga materialet reduceras partiellt.
3, Förfarande enligt patentkravet 1 eller 2, k ä n n e - t e c k n a t därav, att det kolhaltiga reduktionsmedlet utgöres av en organisk produkt, vilken under avgivning av brännbara gaser omvandlas tili koks i schaktet.
4. Förfarande enligt patentkravet 2 eller 3, kännetecknat därav, att det kolhaltiga reduktionsmedlet tillföres schaktet nedanför rostningszonen.
5, Förfarande enligt nägot av patentkraven 1-4,känne-t e c k n a t därav, att det metallsulfid och/eller metalloxid innehällande materialet och/eller det kolhaltiga redukt.ionsmedlet tillföres schaktet genom munstycken vilka är riktade sä, att de ger upphov tili en v.irvelrörelse kr.ing en väsentligen vertikal axel.
6. Förfarande enligt nägot av patentkraven 1-5,känne-t e c k n a t därav, att de heta gaserna för smältning av det metalloxidhaltiga materialet alstras genom förbränning av bränsle och/eller genom partiell förbränning av det kolhaltiga reduktions-medlet med en oxiderande gas, varvid tillförseln av den oxiderande
