It is an object of the present invention to provide an improved, continuous container form. The improvements are achieved by a form, the characteristic features of which are given in the appended claims.

According to the present invention there is provided a continuous container sheet having at least one row of extendable feed holes at both sides thereof for feeding a form through a printing machine having a series of selectively interchangeable pressure elements for printing a row of books across said form between said side edges, a plurality of parallel pre-printed lines bright and distinct different colors, the lines extending transversely across the printing plate between said feed holes, perpendicular to the feed hole rows, and all of an autciycia nature, so that they are lighter than a full-color letterpress printed on them by a high-speed press, each line being a uniform flat plate than the height of the line of book printed across the form, and said lines being as far apart as the height of the line of print printed across the form, and each line and the spaces between them are in extension with successive printing members as the form passes in the feed direction through the printing machine, wherein at least one of said lines per 2.5 cm between the top and bottom of the printing plate is one of said two colors and the rest of said lines per 2.5 cm of said top and at the bottom are one of said two colors, so that a larger number of rows of books 3 6431 2 can be printed on the form per cm in the feed direction, which rows are more easily distinguishable from the neighboring rows.

According to one embodiment of the invention, each piece of mold 10 is provided with a plurality of pre-printed parallel lines 15 and 16, all of which are of standard plate and extend across the mold substantially between the feed holes 11 at its side edges. A color is preselected for the lines 15, and another color is preselected for the lines 16 alternating with them (Figure 1).
