Ett isbrytande fartyg (10) med reamers (23a, 23b) som bryter isen nedåt på båda sidorna vid fartygets mittparti eller mellan mittpartiet och förstäven, kännetecknat därav, att det i anslutning till dessa reamers (23a, 23b) på båda sidor av fartyget (10) finns propellrar (24a, 24b) för framdrivning av fartyget. Därtill skyddskraven 2-10.
