Abstract
Un conductor eléctrico formado por dos o más vetas acopladas, caracterizado esencialmente por que estas vetas están formadas por un recubrimiento elástico aislante, tal como goma, materia plástica o similar, rodeando a un conductor, formado por varios hilos metálicos finos (cable), o a un solo conductor formado por un hilo macizo; estando dichas vetas acopladas lateralmente, sin torsión, y pudiendo desprenderse toda o parte de ellas por desgarro de la superficie de unión, al hacer tracción de los extremos de las mismas.
