EL METODO SE CARACTERIZA PORQUE SE LLEVAN A CABO POR LO MENOS DOS EXPLORACIONES DE SECTOR DIFERENTES Y PARCIALMENTE SOLAPADAS DEL CUERPO CON EL METODO DE ECOS DE IMPULSOS, EN UN PLANO DE EXPLORACION Y POR MEDIO DE UNA ORGANIZACION TRANSDUCTORA DE ULTRASONIDOS QUE ES GIRATORIA EN TORNO DE UN EJE DE GIRO PERPENDICULAR AL PLANO DE EXPLORACION, LA CUAL COMPRENDE POR LO MENOS UN PRIMER Y UN SEGUNDO TRANSDUCTOR QUE ESTAN DISPUESTOS EN RELACION ESPACIADA A LO LARGO DE UN CIRCUITO QUE SE SITUA EN EL PLANO DE EXPLORACION Y QUE ES COCENTRICO CON EL EJE DE GIRO, DESEMPEÑANDO LA ORGANIZACION TRANSDUCTORA UN MOVIMIENTO GIRATORIO EN TORNO DEL EJE DE GIRO.
