"TERMO-INTERRUPTOR" que se caracteriza por estar constituido por una membrana en forma de disco de un metal elástico y fácilmente dilatable que se fija por sus bordes en el interior de una cápsula metálica de manera que se produce un abombamiento de la membrana que es permanente hasta una cierta temperatura; al alcanzar ésta, la dilatación del metal constituyente de la membrana hace que cambie el sentido de su abombamiento bruscamente, es decir, la cara cóncava se convierte en convexa y viceversa, hecho que se utiliza para desplazar un mecanismo apoyado en su centro y ligado a un contacto móvil que interrumpe el paso de corriente del circuito eléctrico al cual se acopla el aparato.
