Abstract
The process comprises hydrolysis reaction of 1-cyclopropyl-6-fluoro -1,4-dihydro-4-oxo -7-(1-piperazinyl)-3-quinoline carbonitrile. The reaction, in aqueous medium or in a mixture of water and a lower alcohol, takes place in the presence of a base or an acid. The reaction temperature is 70-105 degrees C.
