Abstract

It consists in forming the hull of the float by joining one or a number of pieces of aluminium sheet which are joined via their edges by means of joins obtained by ribbing or folding, forming a cramped part, peripheral strips or flanges of said pieces of aluminium sheet, to which, in one or more spaced regions, strips of metal sheet have previously been joined, which strips of metal sheet incorporate means assisting in the fastening or anchoring of the float to the vessels (navigating structures) to be supported. The inner hollow which results when the pieces of aluminium sheet are joined is filled with a foamed material and the hull is given a covering of waterproof material which is subsequently smoothed and painted.
