COMPRENDE: A) AÑADIR A UN ALQUENILGLICOL O COMPUESTO HIDROXILICO SIMILAR, UNA BASE ACUOSA; B) AGREGAR SUCESIVAMENTE, A TEMPERATURA ELEVADA OXIDO DE PROPILENO, U OXIDO DE 1-BUTILENO Y OXIDO DE ETILENO; C) NEUTRALIZAR LA MEZCLA; D) SEPARAR LAS PORCIONES MAS VOLATILES; E) DESHIDRATAR, PARA OBTENER EL COMPUESTO DE FORMULA (I) CON EL QUE SE TRATA LA SUPERFICIE EN FORMA DE SOLUCION ACUOSA. SIENDO: R1, METILO, ETILO, O HIDROGENO POR LO MENOS EN EL 50% DE LOS CASOS; R2 Y R3, H O UN RADICAL ORGANICO; X, RADICAL DE FORMULA (II) O (III); Y N, UN NUMERO DE 4 A 400.
