System in which use is made of a microcomputer which includes an accelerator-pedal sensor for detecting the position of the accelerator an engine-speed sensor for detecting the speed of the engine a clutch-throwout sensor for detecting clutch throwout a motor-vehicle- speed sensor for detecting the speed of the motor vehicle and a controller for monitoring the opening or closure of solenoid valves, the changing of ratios or gears (running states) of a transmission and the opening or closure of a choke actuator (butterfly actuator) or gas control on the basis of stored predetermined data and on the basis of signals transmitted from the sensors.
